Medical Assistant

Our in-person Medical Assistant program offers a variety of individual courses to help you gain the knowledge and skills you need to succeed in the healthcare field.

Our program includes five courses that can be taken individually or together as a complete program:

Medical Terminology

• Learn the language of healthcare and how to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.

American Heart Association CPR for Healthcare Providers with First Aid

• Learn how to provide high-quality CPR and other life-saving techniques in emergency situations.

EKG Technician

• Gain the skills necessary to become a successful EKG Technician, including the interpretation of electrocardiogram (EKG) results, identifying abnormal heart rhythms, and applying electrodes to obtain accurate readings.

Phlebotomy

• Learn the skills necessary to become a successful Phlebotomist, including the collection of blood samples, handling of blood specimens, and proper disposal of medical waste.

Procedures for Patient Care

• This course involves patient positioning, assessment, history-taking, triage, and handling special patient situations. It also includes training in office basics such as medical billing, coding, scheduling, filling, and office reception.
