Emergency Medical Services It is the overall system. EMT Emergency Medical Technician responds to medical emergencies and provide immediate care to patients. Paramedic Higher level of EMT certification can administer more advanced life support: EKG, phlebotomy, meds.

As part of our EMT training program, we use the latest edition of "Emergency Care and Transportation of the Sick and Injured" by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). The textbook is yours to keep. Additionally, you will receive a code to access JB Learning's online platform, which includes interactive lectures, practice quizzes, and other study materials that can be immensely helpful in supplementing your learning experience.

You will need to be 17 years old by the end of the course.

During the first week of class, we will allow you to view a sample uniform shirt and have you provide your size information. We will order a light blue polo shirt for you to wear as your uniform. One shirt will be provided as part of the program. Additionally, please note that students are responsible for purchasing their own navy blue pants and rubber-soled, polished black shoes to wear for every class session and clinical rotation.
